![]() ![]() I will not fix any bugs for that release after the next one comes out, but you will get at least a few months more support from me on those systems. ![]() However, it’s not all bad, because I will continue to keep the downloads for v1.7 up, which is the last version that supports 32-bit Macs, Mac OS X Snow Leopard, Lion, and Mountain Lion. However, I have less free time now than before, and maintaining support for these releases is becoming a time drain for me, and limiting the new features I can add to DDRescue-GUI, when I could be spending time doing more productive things, such as writing more applications for you guys! What if I’m stuck on an old release? Having said that, I have tried very hard to support these releases, even going as far as to buy snow leopard and produce a 32-bit build to support those with Intel Core Duo machines that are stuck on Snow Leopard. This means that no new security bugs are being fixed in these releases, and that they are inherently insecure. These releases are all very old, and haven’t been supported by Apple for some time. ![]() As the title suggests, I am dropping support for Mac OS X Snow Leopard, Lion, and Mountain Lion with DDRescue-GUI.
